Bütçem — Privacy Policy

In short
Bütçem is a personal budget and expense tracking app developed by Mert Celal Yılmaz. This policy applies to the version distributed through Google Play and the App Store.
Bütçem does not ask you to create an account and does not send any data you enter to us or to third parties. All data stays on your phone.
What data is processed and where it is stored
Transactions, accounts, balances, budget limits, recurring payments, debts/loans, savings goals, tags, notes and settings you enter are stored in the app’s database on your phone.
- We have no servers; this data is never transmitted to or seen by us.
- No account, e-mail address or phone number is requested.
- No advertising, analytics, tracking or crash-reporting SDKs are used.
- Data is not sold, shared or used for advertising.
Internet
The store version does not connect to the internet. On Android the app does not hold the internet permission.
Permissions

Picking and sharing files is done through the operating system’s own dialogs: the app only reads the statement or backup file you pick and only hands a file to the app you choose when you tap share.
Security
The app-lock PIN is never stored in plain text; only a salted hash is kept.
Backups and export
Backups and CSV exports are written to the app’s own folder. On Android, the app’s data and backups are excluded from the phone’s system backup (Google account) and from transfer to a new phone; when you switch phones, you share a backup yourself and restore it on the new one. On iPhone, if iCloud Backup is on, this folder may be backed up to your account together with your other app data; that backup is performed and managed by the operating system and does not reach us.
When you share a backup or CSV file with another app, that file becomes subject to that app’s privacy terms.
Deleting your data
There is no account, so there is no account to delete. You can erase your records and start over in the app under “Settings → Reset data” (a backup is saved to the app folder first). Uninstalling the app removes the database and the backups in the app folder. On Android, “Settings → Apps → Bütçem → Storage → Clear data” does the same. Files you previously shared or copied elsewhere are not affected.
Children
Bütçem is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any personal data.
Changes
If this policy changes, the current version is published on this page and in the app under “Settings → Privacy”, and the date above is updated.
